The Salty is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the great Cornish outdoors.

The view is simply amazing - right on the cliff top over looking the beach and sea. Mount St.Michelle is just on your right and the beach is a short walk away - you can easily hear the waves rolling calmly at night.

The photos really do not do justice to this place. There is private parking right outside the front door which makes easy unloading luggages or any gear you may have with you (bikes, surf boards etc.).The back entrance is perfect to keep the place clean when coming back from a hike (with a nice little alcove for coats and muddy boots). The living area / kitchenette is very well kept and tidy not to mention that is extremely cosy. The massive glass window/wall allows the area to be stunningly lighten and the guest to enjoy the view. Double(maybe triple) glazing, a modern heating system and a fireplace make sure the space is kept comfortably warm.
The place is brand new and this is well reflected in the bathroom - which features a powerful shower and spotless sink/toilet. A big bedroom and a lovely garden with patio and outdoor fire pit complete the space.

Although already a wonderful accommodation what really makes this place stands out is the attention to details that the owners have put into it. There is a warmth to this little house that really makes you feel looked after.

The locally sourced food that welcomed us on arrival, the toiletries, the fluffy white towels, the maps and books of the local area stashed in a trunk in the leaving room and the original art pieces scattered around the house really adds up making this place a wonderful little oasis of peace.

The area is full of interesting things to do and see - in case of any doubt just ask Colin's wife and she will be happy to provide you with plenty of wonderful suggestions.

We personally recommend to go for a nice hike up to St.Ives, have a least one meal at the Peppercorn cafe' and visit the St. Ives Tate modern. We also had dinner in a fantastic seafood restaurant full of character a little drive away called the Wheelhouse - We highly advise it!

All in all we had a wonderful time and we will be definitely coming back next year.
